Description: The documentary gets its inspiration from something that happened to Pier Paolo Pasolini, which he narrates at the beginning of the film: an episode that demonstrates the passion of young people from the Roman working class suburbs for motors. This is followed by an investigation of this particular passion/obsession. Many of these young men work in repair shops; others participate in motorbike competitions on the road or motocross races. In front of the local bar, where friends often meet, there are dozens of parked scooters. During summer afternoons, between one pinball game and another, clandestine races are organized for testing the changes that the young men have made on their vehicles. These races take place along the streets of Rome with daily traffic, and victory leads to a money prize. At the end we see one of these racers fall from his motorbike, hit his head against the road and left in agony on the ground.
